A small résumé, where to start? After 5 decades of making music, including an early review from the NME on 1st April 1982: “this young guy from Drogheda is lighting up the local rock scene, I expect big things@. What happened to that wild crazy kid? He got married, mortgaged, 4 kids, 4 grankids and still rocking it out with my brothers in the south west of France🤘

I retired in 2020, I was born in 1960 in the Paris region. I love sport (especially in front of the TV – it’s less tiring!), fishing, petanque, going foraging for mushrooms, grilling, aperitifs and good food with family and friends. What a life!

I joined the group “Les Copains D’Abord” about 3 years ago and we immediately bonded. We form a core that lives up to it’s name. Rehearsals are always a shared joy. We are not professionals, of course, but we put all our heart and soul into sharing a pleasant moment of music with you. The different nationalities of the group are our strength. The love of sharing is stronger than anything.

Born 18th July 1949 in the small village of Belmont near Bolton (UK). Went to school in Bromley Cross, didn’t enjoy school so left at the earliest opportunity, eventually starting work as an apprentice stone mason. Married Lesley and moved over to Darwen, where I eventually started work with Lancashire Ambulance which lasted 30 years! During that 30 years I became a master with the Air Guitar so decided when I retired I would buy a real acoustic guitar. Ten years later with the guitar still in it’s bag I met Leslie Golding who actually got me playing some songs, Unfortunatley Les passed away, but I was introduced to Malachy and this was my start to playing in a band, which became Copains D Abord. Currently playing Takamine Acoustic guitar G series.
